Relics (Lost in Time)

Ponce De Leon

Afraid of Kingdom Come

Took his men far to the west

 

Map in hand

They searched the islands

hoping to accomplish their quest

 

They found a place

that had the slightest trace

of a treasure greater than gold

 

and then Ponce De Leon

influenced by the rum

found a way to never grow old

 

 

they’ll search through bones, bones, bones

like Indiana Jones

looking for the Fountain of Youth

 

and when they find find find

a way to stop time

they’ll think they’ve discovered the truth

 

but when there friends have all passed on

and their will to live is gone

they’ll just be relics lost in time

 

Pirates at sea

following their dreams

of treasures a mile high

 

Their guided by a map

were X marks a trap

and birds, they never fly

 

through jungles of trees

they navigate degrees

hoping a fortune lies ahead

 

And as they come upon a spot

where dead pirates rot

they all fear they’ll soon be be dead

 

they’ll search those bones, bones, bones

like Indiana Jones

looking for the Temple of Doom

 

and then they’ll find find find

a pyramid entwinded

in a maze of vines that leads to a tomb

 

and once the treasure is dispersed

captain and crew will all be cursed

then they’ll be relics lost in time

 

King Arthur and his knights

they always fought the good fight

freely people from tyranny

 

But there was one quest

that Arthur tried his best

but he succumbed to the powers that be

 

Out from the clouds

a voice came strong and loud

“Arthur: You must seek the Holy Grail”

 

So with swords in hand

they conquered the promise land

so that England could prevail

 

they’ll search those bones, bones, bones

like Indiana Jones

looking for that Holy Grail

 

and when they find find find

the cup that saved man kind

they’ll be merry and drink as it were ale

 

but when they try to leave that room

they’ll find that its become their tomb

and there now relics lost in time
