Graduation Party/Concert @ “31″ in Allston
Wednesday, April 28th, 2010
====☮ABOUT THE EVENT☮===
Lots of people just graduated, others are done with school for the summer, and EVERYONE is loving the warm weather. We intend to celebrate!
Come out and party like it’s 2999!
3 Kegs (gotta be 21+ to drink though). $8 at the door (5 for a cup and $3 for the band… all your cash will go towards funding a new PA!)
Music starts at 9PM with funky jammers LOVE JUICE.
Then MONDO GECKO hits the stage for an evening of jamtasltic funky bliss.
=====♫ ABOUT MONDO GECKO ♫=====
We’ve got and AWESOME new bassist/singer named MATT DRUMMEY. We’ve been practicing. We’ve been writing. We’ve been touring the North East. We are ready to launch a fult blown facial meltdown Allston-style!
====☯ABOUT 31☯====
This is no ordinary house party – this is a HOUSE CONCERT! We scoped out the venue and it is AMAZING! It’s in the basement of a huge house that used to be owed by a nearby church and the basement was used as a storage space. Now it’s an underground concert hall.
There is a huge stage (bigger than T.T. the Bears)
There is a great sound system.
There are awesome lights.
There are smoke machines.
There will be GECKO CHAOS!
====☝THIS IS A TICKETED EVENT!!!☝====
The tickets are free (just hit up any of the band members and will hook up up with as many as you need) and it’s $8 at the door but unless you get their EARLY you’ll need one to get into the show cause they ALWAYS HAVE TO TURN PEOPLE AWAY at 31!

5/15/10 Mallettstock, Colchester (Burlington), VT
Wednesday, April 28th, 2010
MAY 15th, 2010
1 p.m. to 10 p.m.
THE LOWDOWN:
Come for a day of good times and quality local music. The event will be BYOB. Feel free to bring a grill and a tent if you plan on camping out as that is not just welcome, but encouraged.
Later in the evening there will be a bonfire.
The reason for doing this is to give all the people graduating (and even those who aren’t) a ridiculous end of the semester event to unwind with.
Entrance: $5 (to cover expenses like the Port-o-John, PA, stage, and gas for bands). Carload Discount is $15 for any car with 5 people.
There will be a tip bucket for bands since they are doing this because they love music and events with some actual soul. And what better way to support local (and touring!) music than to tip them for their performance?
There will also be a limited quantity of Mallettstock shirts. The design is courtesy of Colin Patrick Charles a.k.a. Paddy.
Unknown Arts Studio (www.unknownartstudio.com) will be providing those shirts and slinging some of their own designs. So if you want to get some new shirts, keep that in mind.
They have a big backyard, but car pooling or alternative transportation would be appreciated.

“…a great new band from Boston called Mondo Gecko. This band boasts five members…who combine that technical skill with a distinct sense of humor that Phish would have been envious of in their early days. …The jams are structured but allow for a lot of freedom. These guys are skilled enough not to get lost in the ethereal when they improvise. …Mondo Gecko produces a dynamic, fun live show. These guys need to make a swath through the heartland and hit the summer jam festivals. There are fans out there waiting for them.”
-Janie Franz, Skope Magazine
$5/person ’cause these fine musicians are coming all the way from Boston and travelling isn’t free.
