Smokey Mountains
Beautiful mountains and skies float above us
They breathe a soft blanket of air
And as our time drifts away on this small speck of dust
You and I we don’t seem to care
There are those who don’t know that it’s out there
And some search the whole world wide
But I’m not alone, got no reason to roam
Cause I got you by my side
Never been to the Smoky Mountains
Or felt the Redwood shade
Never seen the Yellowstone fountains
Or cruised the Everglades
Never been to found of wondering
Haven’t seen the wonders of the world
but lately I’ve been ponderin’
How can they be pretty as you girl
While our seprate conclusions divide us
This earth is something we’ve shared
And when the wheel’s steady turn finally draws to an end
You and I we won’t be scared
Cause all the time in the world doesn’t mean much
To those few who’ve found their own way
And all the gems on the earth they will never be worth
A single moment away
Never been to the Smoky Mountains
Or felt the Redwood shade
Never seen the Yellowstone fountains
Or cruised the Everglades
Never been to found of wondering
Haven’t seen the wonders of the world
but lately I’ve been ponderin’
How can they be pretty as you girl
