Alright people, here’s the deal. We’ve played a lot of shows, and we’re going to play a ton more, but we can tell you this: this weekend will be very, very special – ’cause it’s BreakFEST time!
4 bands, 2 Gecko sets, camping, great people (seriously we’ve heard from a ton of you and some of our favorite people on the planet are coming to kick it this weekend)… and it’s only $20 in advance!
Yeah you know us. We’ve been hard at work. We’ve got a bunch of new music we’ve been working on and a few suprises you probably don’t want to miss… so just get there already! Plus, we’ve got our classic Gecko tie dyes and some amazing new patchwork clothes by Patchwork from Sarah for sale. Only available through your local MG dealer (a.k.a. us).
Tim plays electric guitar for The Breakfast. He also melts face on acoustic guitar. We’re not talking boring singer song writer crap here – we’re talking things like playing every Beatles tune ever written in alphabetical order or this amazing version of Phish’s Reba.
Don’t be an idiot and show up at 4pm… these guys wail! 3-peace Organ trio from Boston. Great, rippin’ stuff!
About the festival (READ THIS PART!)
The site is located at the end of Lempster Coach Road in beautiful Goshen, NH. At the end of Lempster Coach Road there is a rocky dirt road. It will be marked with balloons. Also, camping spots and parking will depend on attendance so we suggest you get there early to get a sweet spot!

Well the 2010 Festival Season is officially underway! Mondo Gecko kicked things off with an amazing weekend up in Harmony, Maine at Peace Jam Fest (an event thrown by Maine Vocals).

I. Simple World. Beacons. Smokey Mountains. Late Night > Car Wash Jam > Ghostbusters > X-Files Jam > 2001. Other Side. Wounded Dreamer.
Show notes: Before Smokey Mountains, Luke announced a dance contest would happen during the next song. Amber from Strangers Helping Strangers won for grooving the for the entire set. Car Wash Jam had a Dumb and Dumber theme music tease by Eric.
5/22/10 Peace Jam Fest, Harmony, ME Setlist
I. UFO > WIM > Weekapaug Groove > Poncho. Relics > Stir It Up > Relics. So They Say.
E. High Gravity.
E2. Music Never Stopped.
Show Notes:UFO was unfinished. Debut of So They Say (also known as When In Rome). Poncho‘s story involved an unground subway system exploration and had an Eastern Maine Community College teases – a hilarious, catchy tune that Eric Green Party had played earlier in the festival.
Festival Notes
Bands could be clearly heard from almost anywhere in the festival site, and as a result many in attendance listened from their campsites… until Mondo Gecko’s set Saturday when it seamed like everyone who came to dance decided to do so during our set! As you might expect, this was both shocking and exciting for the band, and we preceded to rock out!
Earlier in the week at band practice something special happened. Aaron and Matt showed up in the middle of a jam that Luke and Eric had already started. They did not stop to talk, say hello or even really make eye contact. The band preceded to play for several hours without stopping, segueing between different grooves and moods. No specific songs were played and there was no non-musical communication. The night was a milestone for the band and the results can be heard in the improvisation at Peace Jam. Check out the jam during Late Night as an example.
The festival also marked the debut of Mondo Gecko’s G.A.L.A.C.T.I.C. Anthology (Vol. 1.) – which stands for Guest Attendance Log And Collection of Thoughts, Illustrations, and Compositions.
