Alright people, here’s the deal. We’ve played a lot of shows, and we’re going to play a ton more, but we can tell you this: this weekend will be very, very special – ’cause it’s BreakFEST time!
4 bands, 2 Gecko sets, camping, great people (seriously we’ve heard from a ton of you and some of our favorite people on the planet are coming to kick it this weekend)… and it’s only $20 in advance!
Yeah you know us. We’ve been hard at work. We’ve got a bunch of new music we’ve been working on and a few suprises you probably don’t want to miss… so just get there already! Plus, we’ve got our classic Gecko tie dyes and some amazing new patchwork clothes by Patchwork from Sarah for sale. Only available through your local MG dealer (a.k.a. us).
Tim plays electric guitar for The Breakfast. He also melts face on acoustic guitar. We’re not talking boring singer song writer crap here – we’re talking things like playing every Beatles tune ever written in alphabetical order or this amazing version of Phish’s Reba.
Don’t be an idiot and show up at 4pm… these guys wail! 3-peace Organ trio from Boston. Great, rippin’ stuff!
About the festival (READ THIS PART!)

Mondo Gecko has an amazing opportunity to play at The Big Up festival, August 5th,6th & 7th in Ghent, NY. This thing will be HUGE for us: there are a ton of great bands (including RAQ, and our buddies The Breakfast and Dopapod) and it will be by far the biggest event we will have played. See below for how to help us out!
ABOUT THE VENUE
The Big Up – 2010, will be held at Sunnyview Farm, a gorgeous 1500 acre estate located in Ghent, NY. The venue boasts multiple indoor and outdoor production spaces, including two main indoor rooms and big open fields. Sunnyview Farm is easily accessible from a number of major Northeastern cities:
Albany, NY (30 minutes) New York City, NY (2 hours) Northampton, MA (1 hour) Springfield, MA(1 hour) Boston, MA (2.5 hours) Hartford, CT(1 hour). See the directions.
Sunnyview Farm has played host to rock’n’roll royalty over the years including John Lennon, Willie Nelson, and Levon Helm. Under new management, Sunnyview Farm re-emerged in 2009 as a premier indoor/outdoor Northeast music, arts, and culture venue two inaugural events: Let It Roll and its pre-party, Lost Weekend in Shangri-La. These two events welcomed over 1,000 guests and received rave reviews from artists and festivalgoers alike, usually noting the impeccable hospitality and intimate setting “not found at any other festival”. 2009 was Shireworks Productions’ trial run for a larger and more articulated festival at Sunnyview Farm in the summer of 2010.

BUY A PRESALE: CONFIRM MONDO GECKO’S SLOT
So here is the deal: we are like 90% confirmed, but we need to sell 15 presale tickets to seal the deal. Early bird tickets at $65. Here’s the good news: the more we sell, the better our time slot, AND if you use the code “mondogeckofans” at checkout to get tickets for $60 and save yourself $5!
The weather is amazing, and tonight’s show shouldn’t be any different. The Breakfast will probably play two sets, and we’ve got some special treats in store for you all as well as a new tune or two!
Some bad news though:
Walley’s moving back down south at the end of the month… so this will be our last show with him (at least for a while). He’s bummed, we’re bummed, you’re probably bummed, but we’re all gonna make the best of it and play our hearts out tonight! We’re playing a special tune or two to celebrate his time with Mondo Gecko, so bring your dancing shoes and get ready to get funky! Obviously Mondo Gecko will be a different band with any other bassist, but as always, MG will keep on truckin’ and hope you’ll hang with us as we morph into some new, as of yet undiscovered species of masive lizard.
TONIGHT’s PRESALE TICKETS ARE SOLD OUT! There may be tickets at the door though so get there early!
The Breakfast and Mondo Gecko team up for another dose of MONDO BREAKFAST!
